٢Striking sparks of fire

Fal moori yaati qadha

٣And scouring to the raid at dawn,

Fal mugheeraati subha

٤Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,

Fa atharna bihee naq'a

٥Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),

Fawa satna bihee jam'a

٦Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord

Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood

٧And lo! he is a witness unto that;

Wa innahu 'alaa zaalika la shaheed

٨And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.

Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed

٩Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth

Afala ya'lamu iza b'uthira ma filquboor

١٠And the secrets of the breasts are made known,

Wa hussila maa fis sudoor

١١On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.

Inna rabbahum bihim yauma 'izil la khabeer
